These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the rental of equipment, décor, and related services (“Rental Items”) provided by Okhua Pearls Luxury Rentals (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking with us, submitting payment, or accepting delivery of Rental Items, you (“Client,” “Lessee,” or “you”) agree to these Terms.
1. Rental Items
Okhua Pearls Luxury Rentals provides luxury décor, party equipment, and event rental items. All items remain the property of the Company at all times.
Client agrees to:

Use Rental Items only for their intended purpose

Return items in the same condition as delivered

Ensure proper supervision and care of items during the rental period
2. Booking and Payment

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve Rental Items.

The remaining balance is due 48 hours prior to the event date unless otherwise stated in your invoice.

Bookings are not confirmed until deposit is received.

Accepted payment methods: Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, Apple Pay, or as otherwise indicated in your invoice.
3. Fees and Charges
Additional fees may apply, including but not limited to:

Delivery and pickup fees (based on distance and logistics)

Late return fees

Damage, cleaning, or replacement fees if items are returned excessively dirty, damaged, or missing

Setup and breakdown fees where applicable
A detailed invoice will outline all applicable charges.
4. Cancellations and Refunds

A $50 deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to okhuapearls.info@gmail.com.

Cancellations received at least one week prior to the event date may avoid additional charges.

Cancellations within one week of the event may result in forfeiture of any additional payments made.
5. Delivery, Setup, and Pickup

Delivery and pickup windows will be coordinated with the Client in advance.

Client must ensure safe, unobstructed access to the event location.

Client must be present at the agreed-upon delivery and pickup times unless other arrangements are approved.

If the delivery or pickup team encounters unsafe conditions, inaccessible terrain, or unexpected obstacles, additional fees may apply or delivery may be refused.
6. Responsibilities of the Client
Client agrees to:

Supervise and safeguard Rental Items from theft, loss, or damage

Keep items away from weather hazards such as rain, fire, or extreme heat unless specifically rated for outdoor use

Ensure children do not climb on, stain, or misuse rentals

Notify Okhua Pearls Luxury Rentals immediately if any damage occurs
Client assumes responsibility from the time items are delivered until they are picked up.
7. Damage, Loss, or Replacement
Client will be charged for:

Any missing rental items

Damage beyond ordinary wear and tear
-
Permanent stains, rips, water damage, or structural damage to décor or equipment

Replacement costs based on current market value, not rental price
If replacement or repair is required, Client will be invoiced within 7 business days.
8. Liability
Okhua Pearls Luxury Rentals is not responsible for:

Injuries, accidents, or property damage resulting from misuse of Rental Items
-
Delays caused by weather, traffic, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control
-
Damage that occurs after items have been delivered and accepted by the Client
Client agrees to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from the Client’s event.
Recommendation: We strongly encourage Clients to obtain event insurance that covers liability, property damage, and the replacement value of rented items—especially for large events.
9. Weather Policy
For outdoor events, the Client is responsible for:

Providing adequate protection for Rental Items

Moving items indoors if weather becomes unsafe

Any weather-related damage occurring during the event
Rental fees remain due regardless of weather conditions.
10. Photo & Media Release
Unless otherwise stated in writing, Client grants Okhua Pearls Luxury Rentals permission to use photos of event setups featuring our décor or rentals for marketing, social media, and portfolio purposes. We will never publish faces without consent.
11. Website Use and Privacy
Use of our website is subject to our Privacy Policy and Accessibility Statement. By booking with us, you acknowledge and agree to those policies.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in California courts.
13. Agreement
By booking, paying a deposit, or accepting delivery of Rental Items, the Client acknowledges reading, understanding, and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
